MY OPINION
If the character customization didnt make me feel anything special, there is not the same when i startet to play. Initially I was fascinated by the gorgeous graphics, attention to detail and skill animation. Then came the magnificent music that goes so well to the landscape, combined with the excellent story, fights martial arts "flying through trees and houses" in his characteristic style of Chinese martial arts films. All this makes the atmosphere on Swordsman to be consistent with China, and its ancient martial arts of that time.
Quest tracker automatically or manually (open the map and click where you want to go), very well implemented. Encyclopedia where you can find later all new items you found. Achievements system. Free transportation with horse carts and / or automatically teleport,or teleport scrolls.
Since the first momnte I restarted the game with another character and immediately after, the third character, only to try other schools of Karate. Fighting is great, similar to the GW2 with advantage by air battles. Skill are of two kinds:
Skills-style normal (given by the school that you chose). Chi Form, Heartbreak palm, Solar Push, Lost Art
Combat Skills Focus (press both mouse buttons to activate a mega skill ) it uses focus, some light orbs that remain on the map after destruction of objects in the environment. Z button allows collecting these orbs magneticly and induce a state of meditation, that fills the hp bar and chi (mana) bar.
Utility Skills (jump, run, meditate, glide, dash, etc.)
Skills Scrolls
Pvp Skills
Flying skills (first yo can double jump and then triple, etc.)
You can do a combination of skills you use the most and the order in which you want to use "chained combos". New sets of skill can be learned as you progress in the game, and players can change during combat. Very similar to Guild Wars 2, except that the weapon remains the same.
Quests are classic but are joined at the place of video story. Always go in story quest area (a world with interactive story with a boss at the end) then returns the living world realm. If you throw a mob / slaps on the back, and if you're on stage, you can press "space" and take a leap into the air "doge stile". Just can avoid the hits using the arrow keys. Fight in the air and the keys can be used as long as focus bar is full. There tutor-student system, specifically the Asian Games. Also Badges with stats. Drop from mobs is sprayed down and unfortunately, not seen, which is why you have to use the "R" to do loot.
Many people complain that this game is overrated without a real basis, but my impression after open beta is that this game has a bright future and presents a viable alternative to all the good games from this moment.
